Conduct a Volunteer Audit (survey + interviews with staff/key volunteers).
Map existing roles, pain points, and identify retention barriers.
We will provide a report of “3 Biggest Roadblocks to Volunteer Growth” post assessment + 1-2 immediate action steps.
Redefine: Build Clear Pathways
GOAL: Turn ambiguity into structure.
Host a Volunteer Pathway Workshop (virtual or in-person with staff/key volunteers):
Define entry-level volunteer roles.
Align volunteer needs to the growth projections of the church.
Create leadership progression (e.g., Greeter → Team Lead → Hospitality Director).
Set “promotion” criteria (skills, commitment level, training).
Draft simple role descriptions and on-boarding checklists.
Rollout: Implement Lasting Change
GOAL: Embed systems so growth sticks.
Pilot the new structure in one ministry (e.g., kids’ ministry).
Train staff/key volunteers on the Volunteer Pathway Map and equip them to share with their teams..
Refine based on feedback (e.g., adjust role demands).
We will provide a customized recommended 90-Day Implementation Plan: Timeline, training guides, systems/tools etc.
